EVe Awards Second Tender to Accelerate Deployment of Fast Public EV Charging Points Across Singapore

EV-Electric Charging Pte Ltd (EVe), a subsidiary of the Land Transport Authority (LTA), has awarded its second tender, comprising three contracts to deploy mostly fast chargers at publicly accessible carparks.

ST Engineering Urban Solutions Ltd is awarded CD103 and CD106, and SP Mobility Pte Ltd - a subsidiary of SP Group, is awarded CD105.

This tender is another key milestone in EVe's commitment to expand the network of public EV charging points across Singapore, supporting the nation’s transition to a cleaner and more sustainable transportation solutions. It builds upon the first tender, launched in June 2024 which was awarded to Volt Singapore and CDG-ENGIE, further accelerating efforts to enhance Singapore’s EV charging infrastructure.

The charger deployment will be rolled out in two phases, scheduled for progressive deployment in 2025 and 2026. The first site is anticipated to be operational by end-2025. Additional details, including specific locations and EV charger types, are provided in Annex A.

With the growing adoption of EVs, this latest tender, primarily in the industrial areas, aims to further support and supplement Singapore’s EV charging network beyond HDB residential and commercial premises. This helps to support the electrification of commercial vehicles and allow our drivers to have more charging destination options.

ST Engineering and SP Mobility are among EVe’s eight pre-qualified EV Charging Operators (EVCOs) selected to drive the next phase of public EV charging point deployment. They were carefully assessed against EVe’s rigorous quality criteria to ensure they possess the capabilities needed to successfully execute the deployment of public EV charging points.

“Placing fast chargers at industrial areas allows us to better support the diverse needs of EV drivers and in particular to support the electrification of commercial fleets. Our goal is to make charging convenient, and reliable so drivers can spend less time waiting. This effort reflects our commitment to driving the adoption of electric vehicles and helping Singapore move toward a greener, more sustainable future,” said CEO of EVe, Stephanie Tan.
